Curtis Barnett, D.V.M.
Dr. Barnett graduated from Colorado State University with an undergraduate degree and was also enrolled in the Masters Degree program. He completed 4 years of Cancer research at the Saint Joseph's Hospital in Florida and graduated from the University of Florida Veterinary School in 1982. Dr. Barnett moved to Carlisle after veterinary school for better career opportunities. He was employed by Dr. Robert Rill for 6 months before Dr. Rill retired to Florida for health reasons. This afforded Dr. Barnett the opportunity to purchase the Carlisle Small Animal Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Barnett married Dr. Holly Wendell in 1989 and he is the "father" to two furkids, Rottweiler "Molly" and English Mastiff "Smooch". He is pictured below with his Rottweiler "Lilly" who passed away in August of 2001.

Barbara Strock, V.M.D.
Dr. Strock graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a B.S. in Biology and earned her V.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School in 1987. She enjoys hiking and backpacking. "Radar and Peeper" are both orphan kitties she adopted from the clinic after they were hit by cars. She is a little shy about having her picture taken but we did manage to "sneak" this one in while she was playing with her buddy, our resident clinic kitty, "Tumbles".

Pamela Jennings, V.M.D.
Dr. Jennings graduated from South Dakota State University with a B.S. in microbiology and Animal Science. She graduated from Perdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. Dr. Jennings was employed at the West Shore Veterinary Hospital from 1982-2004, and was a co-owner of the Hospital from 1985 to 2002. In her "off" time she enjoys her family of humans, birds, dogs, sheep, horses and one kitty.
Patricia Gabig, V.M.D.
Dr. Patty has been a Carlisle resident since she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She's married to Will Gabig and has 3 children: G.G. (2 legs), Ian (2 legs) and Elwood (4 legs).
Robert Heidecker, D.V.M
Dr. Heidecker grew up in Boiling Springs, graduating from the Boiling Springs High School in 1985. From here he attended Penn State Unniversity, graduating in 1989. His next step was the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where he was a 1993 graduate. He worked each summer during college for Dr. Barnett, at the Carlisle Small Animal Veterinary Clinic. He now resides in Carlisle with Jennifer, his wife, and his Yellow Labrador Retriever, "Abby", and Himalayan cats, "Brain" and "Chloe." He enjoys working with the dogs, cats and pockets pets that he sees daily as a veterinarian. He has a strong interest in veterinary ultrasound.

Pamela, R.H.A.T.
Pam has been a part of the Carlisle Small Animal Veterinary Clinic for 29 years, at the same time training show horses and riders for 20 years. She has two dogs, two horses, and six cats. She spends her spare time keeping the farm running smoothly. Here is a picture of Pam and her beloved Doberman Pinscher- "Phoebe."

Pat graduated from Harcum College and has worked at the Carlisle Small Animal Clinic full or part-time since 1982. She has a soft spot for feline faces and has 5 cats: Lucky, Jake, Trekker, Loki and Rita Mae Brown. She also works full time for the Commonwealth of Pa. as an Animal/Poultry Health Inspector. Diane graduated from Harcum College in 1979 and has been working at the Carlisle Small Animal Clinic since August of that year. She lives with her husband, Richard and has two dogs, "Ellie" and "Lady Bug" and three cats, "Lilli", "Rocky" and "Rosie with the four white toesies."

Janice and her family are originally from the Carlisle area, and she has worked for the Carlisle Small Animal Veterinary Clinic since 1986. Currently their pets include a Pekingese, "Louie" and cat, "Meeka".

Kait graduated from the University of Vermont in 2006 with a BS in Wildlife Biology. She has been working with bats for the past 4 years and has attended many workshops to teach people all about bats and how to handle them. Her favorite bat is the flying fox with a wingspan of 5 feet. She loves her bats. She lives with her fianc?, and her cat "Chiroptera", who was named for the scientific name for the order of the bat. Kait is pictured removing a bat from one of the capture nets.

Heather has a Bachelors in Large Animal Science (2002) from Delaware Valley College. She is working on her Associate degree in Veterinary Technology through Perdue University. She has 2 cats, Lo-Ki and Monkey, and 2 dogs, Manny and Boh.
Receptionists
Sandy
Sandy has worked at the Carlisle Small Animal Clinic for over 20 years. She has a Mixed breed Terrier, "Hector", and a cat named "Linus". She has three grown children and 5 "perfect" (?) grandchildren as well as several "granddogs, cats, cows, pigs, chickens and fish". Sandy's a little camera shy, so Hector and Linus have agreed to fill in for her.

Angie resides in York with her husband Steve. She has bred/shown and trained dogs since 1979, and currently has 10 Shetland Sheepdogs. She was a professional pet groomer for 17 years before coming to work at the Carlisle Small Animal Veterinary Clinic.

Kathy has worked as a receptionist at the clinic for a couple of years. Before coming to the clinic she worked as an adoption counselor for the Humane Society. Hobbies include spending time with family, friends and her many pets.

Priscilla has always had a heart for animals. She is the proud owner of a Collie, Danny. Along with her part time work at the clinic, she is also pursuing a degree in communications from Moody Bible Institute.

Kendra lives in Carlisle with her parents and brother. She is working toward taking online courses to become a vet tech. She has a llama, 7 goats, and chickens as pets.
