Hospitalizations for routine surgery-

Unless otherwise instructed, please plan to arrive between 9-9:30 am on the day of your pet's surgery. Remember for dogs and cats- NO FOOD after midnight on the day of surgery. Small amounts of water are okay. We will call you the day before surgery to remind you of your appointment and any last minute instructions! We do our bloodwork in the mornings with surgery being done in the late morning/early afternoon. You may call after 4 pm to see how your pet is recovering and what time your pet will be discharged if he/she will be leaving on the day of surgery. If you become worried at any other time, please call, we will be happy to check on your pet and give you reassurance!

Current Vaccinations-

For the protection of all the pets, as well as the staff, it is required that all vaccinations be current for all hospitalized dogs and cats.

Hospitalized Pets/Inquiries-

Examinations, treatments and laboratory reports may not be complete before 10:00 am. Please call for information about your pet after 10:00 am. Every effort will be made to notify you of sudden changes in your pets condition. Your cooperation is appreciated and will allow us to provide you with a more complete report of your pet's status. This also enables our staff to devote time and attention to the early morning care of our patients.

Visiting-

Generally, when a short hospital stay is anticipated, visiting your pet will be discouraged. Animals often become upset when they are unable to leave with the owner.
